Alberto Barriga Stats & Bio | Diamondbacks Catcher

About Alberto Barriga

Alberto Barriga brings youthful energy and determination to the Arizona Diamondbacks as their catcher wearing jersey number 6. Born on November 15, 2004, in Tierra Blanca, Venezuela, Mexico, Barriga represents the next generation of international talent making their mark in Major League Baseball. Standing at 5'9" and weighing 155 pounds, he may not be the largest player on the field, but his athleticism and instincts behind the plate make him a valuable presence for Arizona. Coming up through professional development without a college program, Barriga has relied entirely on his raw talent and work ethic to reach the highest level of the sport. Still early in his MLB journey, he carries the promise and potential of a young player with plenty of room to grow and impress.
