Born on May 18, 2000, in Hartland, Michigan, Carlile developed his game through the collegiate ranks at Merrimack College, where he honed the defensive instincts and skating ability required to compete at the professional level. Still early in his NHL journey, Carlile has appeared in two games for Tampa Bay as he continues to acclimate to the speed and demands of professional hockey.
