Arkansas alumni were impossible to ignore across the NFL during the week of Oct. 11–17 — between a walk-off miracle in London, a community honor in New England, and a suspension that became national news, the Razorbacks were everywhere.

Cam Little Drills 57-Yarder to Stun Eagles in London

The most dramatic moment of the week belonged to Jaguars kicker Cam Little, who split the uprights from 57 yards out as time expired to lift Jacksonville to a stunning 19–17 walk-off win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The kick — set up by a frantic kick return with one second left — was made even more remarkable by the fact that the Jaguars executed it without a long snapper, after losing Ross Matiscik to injury. Little's clutch boot moved Jacksonville to 4–1 and sent the London crowd into pandemonium. A Jaguars running back later called the entire sequence "euphoric," which seems like an understatement.

The win also adds an interesting footnote: fellow Razorback CB Montaric Brown was ruled out for that same game, keeping him off the field while his former Fayetteville teammate delivered the defining moment of the Jaguars' season so far.

Hunter Henry Scores, Then Earns Community MVP

Hunter Henry had a week that went well beyond the box score. The Patriots tight end caught three passes for 44 yards and a touchdown in New England's lopsided 45–17 win over the Raiders on Sunday — a day's work that would have been enough on its own. But the NFLPA capped his week by naming him the Community MVP for Week 6, recognizing Henry's continued off-field impact in the Boston area.

Henry, a Patriots captain, also hosted his annual "Freedom to Play" ping pong tournament benefiting IJM in Boston on Monday, with several teammates in attendance.

Fellow Arkansas alum Treylon Burks also contributed in the Commanders' 27–27 tie with the Giants, hauling in two receptions for 26 yards as Washington continued its frustrating stretch.

Dre Greenlaw's Suspension Dominates Headlines

Not all the Arkansas news was celebratory. 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw made national headlines for all the wrong reasons after headbutting Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV — who was not wearing a helmet — during San Francisco's 32–29 win over Seattle on Oct. 11. Greenlaw was ejected on the spot, drew a late-hit flag, and was subsequently suspended one game by the NFL.

He appealed the decision, but the league upheld the one-game ban, ruling him out for San Francisco's Week 6 matchup against the Washington Commanders on Oct. 19. Comparisons to Draymond Green circulated widely — the "repeat offender with a short fuse" narrative attached quickly. The 49ers, meanwhile, scrambled to address the void, signing linebacker Eugene Asante and reportedly preparing to lean on rookie Jaden Dugger to fill Greenlaw's role.

The suspension is a significant blow to San Francisco's depth, even if the team's 5–0 record suggests the Niners can weather a one-game absence. For Greenlaw, the reputational damage may linger longer than a single missed Sunday.

It was, in short, a vintage week for Arkansas football — all the highs and the turbulence included.

Greenlaw vs. Payton: The Beef Is Very Much Real

Arkansas linebacker Dre Greenlaw turned a routine Week 4 matchup into must-watch television — and then got fined for it.

The 49ers dismantled the Denver Broncos 24-14 on Sunday, and Greenlaw was in the middle of every heated moment. The Broncos cut him back in March before he rejoined San Francisco, where he began his NFL career. He clearly didn't forget. Early in the first quarter, after making a tackle near the Denver sideline, Greenlaw was caught on video gesturing and jawing at Broncos head coach Sean Payton. Greenlaw wasn't shy about the motivation. He told reporters postgame that Payton's "disrespect" had been eating at him and that the dismissal from Denver lit a fire he carried into Sunday. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan made clear how much Greenlaw means to the organization — one report noted Shanahan joked he'd wear a Greenlaw jersey in a hypothetical scenario, which says everything about the linebacker's standing in San Francisco.

Payton addressed the confrontation in his postgame statement, keeping things measured. Denver media was less measured — some outlets slapped Greenlaw with a "free-agent bust" label following his one-season stint with the Broncos, adding another layer of bulletin-board fuel to an already combustible story.

While Greenlaw was making national headlines, fellow Razorback Treylon Burks had a quiet but productive day for the Washington Commanders in their Week 4 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Burks hauled in one reception for 47 yards and punched in a touchdown — a bright spot in a 30-13 loss that left Washington looking for answers on offense.

Around the Rest of the Razorback Roster

A few other Arkansas alums had notable weeks. Hunter Henry continued his reliable role in New England's offense, catching five passes for 62 yards in the Patriots' 29-26 upset of the Bills on Oct. 4. Isaac TeSlaa quietly put together an impressive afternoon in Detroit's win over Carolina, pulling in four receptions for 95 yards.

Defensive back Doneiko Slaughter had a turbulent week in Pittsburgh — the Steelers waived him from the active roster Monday before signing him back to the practice squad just one day later, a revolving door that suggests he remains on the roster bubble.

Kani Walker and Landon Jackson were also active for their respective teams — Walker in the Bills-Patriots game and Jackson on the Buffalo defensive front — as the Razorback pipeline to the NFL continues to run deep.

Greenlaw's moment, though, is the one that will be replayed on highlight shows all week. Fayetteville has rarely been this loud in October without a game at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

The Kick Heard 'Round the League

Cam Little was inches away from doing something no NFL kicker has ever done. In the Jaguars' dominant 35-6 dismantling of the Patriots on September 27, the Arkansas alum attempted a 70-yard field goal that sailed just wide — barely missing what would have been not only the longest field goal in NFL history, but a record Little himself already owns.

That's right: Little currently holds the two longest field goals ever made in the NFL at 68 and 67 yards. A successful 70-yarder would have been his third consecutive rewrite of the record books. The attempt came tantalizingly close, but the football gods left it just short, leaving Little — and the sport — with a "what if" that will be replayed for years.

Still, the near-miss cemented Little's status as arguably the most dangerous long-range weapon at his position in the game. No other kicker in NFL history has made two field goals of 67 yards or longer. Little has done it twice, and almost made it three.

Fernando Carmona's Brutal Week

While Little was stealing headlines in Jacksonville, former Razorback Fernando Carmona was dealing with a far grimmer situation in Nashville. The rookie right guard for the Titans was carted off the field in the first half of Tennessee's Week 3 loss to the Giants — a 9-0 deficit at the half that the Titans never fully recovered from.

The news got worse shortly after: Carmona was placed on injured reserve alongside offensive lineman Jackson Slater, meaning the first-year guard will miss multiple weeks at minimum. The Titans, already struggling offensively, are now looking to former Ravens draft pick Garrett Dellinger to fill the void at right guard. It's a tough blow to a team already under pressure, and an abrupt end to what had been a promising start for the rookie out of Fayetteville.

Treylon Burks continued his productive stretch with the Commanders, catching two passes for 13 yards and hauling in a touchdown in Washington's narrow 33-31 win over the Seahawks. The former first-round pick is finding a rhythm in D.C.

Over in Detroit, Isaac TeSlaa was quietly efficient in the Lions' 31-24 win over the Jets — three receptions for 66 yards that showcased the kind of route-running and YAC ability that made him a college standout.

Mike Washington Jr. provided a spark for the Raiders in Las Vegas' 35-27 win over the Saints, rushing for 54 yards and a touchdown — timely production for a Silver and Black offense searching for answers in the ground game.

Kam Curl saw action for the Rams in their 26-30 loss to Denver, though he's carrying some off-field noise into next week after the NFL handed down a fine for a hip-drop tackle ahead of the Eagles game.

Doneiko Slaughter was signed to the Steelers' active roster in time for Pittsburgh's 30-27 win over the Bengals — a direct result of the Joey Porter Jr. trade reshuffling the secondary.

A busy week for the Hog faithful — headlined, unmistakably, by a kick that almost changed everything.

The Jackson Problem

Landon Jackson is becoming a headache for the Bills. The Arkansas alum and Buffalo edge rusher is facing his second NFL disciplinary action of the 2026 season — and the regular season is barely three weeks old. The specifics of the latest punishment weren't disclosed in detail, but the pattern is hard to ignore: two disciplinary incidents in a matter of weeks raises legitimate questions about Jackson's long-term standing in a Bills organization that doesn't have much patience for roster distractions. For a player still working to establish himself as a reliable pass-rusher at the NFL level, the off-field noise is the last thing he needs.

Around the League

While Jackson's situation dominates the Arkansas storyline this week, several Razorbacks had notable moments elsewhere.

Hunter Henry remains one of the more dependable tight ends in New England. The veteran Arkansas product caught 3 passes for 40 yards as the Patriots handled the Steelers 20–3 in Week 2 — a quiet but efficient performance that underscores why New England has kept him in the fold. At this stage of his career, Henry isn't going to wow anyone with highlight-reel plays, but he continues to be exactly what a team needs from the position.

Treylon Burks suited up for Washington in a tough Week 2 loss to Dallas, 37–20. The Commanders wide receiver was active after some uncertainty heading into the game, though the box score didn't reflect a standout outing in a game Washington never really controlled.

Brandon Allen is hovering around relevance in New York in the most Brandon Allen way possible. With starter Jaxson Dart's injury proving worse than expected and Jameis Winston stepping into the starting role, the Giants are reportedly weighing a reunion with Allen as their third quarterback. It's a depth role, but for a journeyman backup, staying on an NFL roster is the job.

Jake Bates, meanwhile, is getting some fantasy football buzz — the Lions kicker leaped into the top five of Week 3 kicker rankings heading into Detroit's home game against the Jets. Not exactly the Arkansas alum making noise for on-field heroics, but in a kicker-scarce fantasy landscape, it counts.

Isaac TeSlaa continues to work his way into the Lions' offensive plans. The Arkansas wideout has seen limited targets early in the season, but Detroit's wide receivers coach indicated that usage will expand as TeSlaa gets more comfortable in the system. The Lions' drafting of TeSlaa has raised eyebrows, and the pressure is on the young receiver to justify the selection.

Taylen Green in Cleveland is facing a murky outlook. The Browns rookie quarterback drew a "surprising take" on his future heading into Week 2, with speculation swirling about how the organization views his trajectory.
