Adam Fox did what Ivy League defensemen aren't supposed to do — he rewrote a franchise record book in the middle of a Thursday night road game.

Fox dropped a four-assist performance in the Rangers' 5-4 overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Oct. 22, the kind of individual output that moves the needle on all-time lists regardless of the final score. Predators head coach Andrew Brunette has publicly identified Kerfoot as a "stabilizing factor" for Nashville's forward group, a characterization that speaks to the veteran's value beyond the scoresheet as the team shuffles line combinations.

Laferriere and Killorn Keep Producing on the West Coast

Alex Laferriere had a quietly excellent week for the Kings. The right wing scored in Sunday's loss to Boston, then posted a pair of assists and went +2 in Thursday's win over the Islanders — the kind of two-way consistency that earns ice time. He finished the week with four points across three games.

Alex Killorn, his fellow Crimson alum now with Anaheim, chipped in three points of his own: a goal Tuesday against the Islanders, an assist Monday against the Rangers, and another assist Saturday against Philadelphia in a Ducks win. Killorn's veteran presence has been a steadying force on an Anaheim team in transition.

Marshall Rifai's week in Toronto had a sharp rise and an abrupt fall. The rookie defenseman scored his first NHL goal Tuesday in a 6-2 blowout of Columbus — a milestone moment — then left morning skate Thursday under a cloud of uncertainty and was later ruled out week-to-week with a lower-body injury.
